Set of 2 Dead Matt Framed with Hand Zardozi Applique - Cypress & R 1

Gifting a 1 rupee coin as part of shagun in India symbolizes a new beginning, growth, and an unbroken, indivisible bond.  

The cypress tree is symbolized by eternity, grace, and immortal life due to its evergreen nature and tall, upright stature. Borrowed heavily from Persian aesthetics, the cypress frequently appeared in Mughal painting landscapes, marble inlay work, and textile designs.

We have attempted to reinterpret these two concepts & motifs using Traditional Hand Zardozi in a minimalist regional aesthetic.

The exquisite zardozi work has been executed by Designer Satish Paudwar. Who is reviving zardozi in a mindful fashion. Made to order only. One art piece at a time. 

This collaboration seeks to bring two design led brands together who believe in slow conscious consumerism that can be enjoyed and hopefully go down as heirloom pieces
