Product Description
Hand-painted 'infinity' frames painted in Pichwai folk art styles, featuring Srinathji & Gopikas.
These have been painted by a 72 year old miniature artitst. And is part of our one off range.
This is a collector's piece, as this art form is slowly diminishing in terms of quality due to the lack of artists who practice it in its true form.
The muted color palette will let you enjoy this painting in both traditional and contemporary decor settings.
Our pichwai paintings are usually one-off pieces created by our artists.
Pichwai art originated in the Deccan, and was further refined in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Pichwai paintings were traditionally meant as backdrops for idols of Lord Krishna in temples, and were used as a visual means of narrating stories from his life. Today, the town of Nathdwara in Rajasthan is especially known for this style of painting
Being hand painted, this product is unique in itself, and its tiny imperfections are what make it special.
Comes with a hook at the back to hang on walls.
