Hand Carved Frame - Wooden Tribal Matsya Mask Decor

Also popularly known as the Gomira masks are handcrafted masks traditionally made by villagers of North Dinajpur. There are around 200 artisans and their families who continue this tradition. Gomira masks started out as a way of devotion to the God, wearing these masks & dancing – a performance by villagers to please the gods to usher in the ‘good forces’ and ward off the ‘evil forces.’ 

These have finally found a market as a décor product for those who embrace these crafts.

We plan to create some new designs with this craft and the craftsmen and present some of their traditional designs as well as a part of this range
