Product Description
12-inch hand-painted wall decor plate painted in the Pattachitra style using the geru colour scheme, featuring Lord Vishnu in his matsyavatar (fish avatar) form. Lord Vishnu as Matsya is said to have rescued the first man, Manu, from a great deluge.
Geru is a colour scheme of white and earthy red that is commonly used in India on walls, flowerpots and the bases of trees.
This product has been hand-painted by our Pattachitra folk artists in Odisha. It has been carefully designed and created using Trove's philosophy of combining traditional folk art with unusual canvases. The result: something that is both traditional and contemporary.
Being hand painted, this product is unique in itself, and its tiny imperfections are what make it special.
Comes with a hook at the back to hang on walls.
