Product Description

12-inch hand-painted wall decor plate painted in the Pattachitra style using the geru colour scheme, featuring the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu.

Geru is a colour scheme of white and earthy red that is commonly used in India on walls, flowerpots and the bases of trees.

This product has been hand-painted by our Pattachitra folk artists in Odisha. It has been carefully designed and created using Trove's philosophy of combining traditional folk art with unusual canvases. The result: something that is both traditional and contemporary.

Being hand painted, this product is unique in itself, and its tiny imperfections are what make it special.

Comes with a hook at the back to hang on walls.

What's not to love.

I had been following Trovecraft's Instagram page for about a year and wanted to buy their products the first chance whenever I went back to India. But this time along with my yearly stash of Podis and mixes my mom sent me trove items. I couldn't be more excited. I got a whole bunch of things - bullhead, pichwai plates, cheriyal masks and MDF lotus cutouts. I have been seeing a lot of pichwai plates by different sellers but Trove'e plates are different. There is so much attention to detail and the colors are brilliant. What's not to love. Shipping was super fast with prompt tracking ID updates. Highly recommend this store. :)
