 Yaali hand painted on wooden board

This product has been hand painted by our Patachitra artists of Odisha. 

The Patachitra style is one of the oldest forms of painting that is practised in the states of Odisha and West bengal that is primarily based on the Hindu mythology. 

Yaali is a mythical creature often seen carved in South Indian temples that usually has the body of a lion and the head of another beast. These yaalis are believed to protect and guard the temples.

Being hand painted this product is unique in itself, and its tiny imperfections is what makes it special.
