Pattachitra (or patachitra) is a folk style of painting that is traditionally done on cloth scrolls. It evolved as a way to tell stories in a visual way, originally for traditional rituals and as aids in performances, and later as souvenirs for pilgrims to temples. Pattachitra painting is known for its intricate details, bold outlines and vibrant colours.
Our range re-imagines patachitra folk art and presents it on different canvases to help us revive a dying art form and make it more relevant for today.
